About Me
I am Timilehin Durotoye, a Ph.D. candidate in the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications at Pennsylvania State University. I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Department of Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. My research focuses on the intricate interplay between emerging media/technologies, journalism studies, and political attitudes, emphasizing AI's implications and the impact of digital technologies on human-social interaction, long-term and emergent political behavior, and perceptions. In addition, I explore the psychological effects of communication technologies, including AI and algorithms, that are capable of influencing democratic processes and ICT policies. My work has been published in journals and books such as Political Communication, Telematics and Informatics, and the Handbook of Research on Politics in the Computer Age. I have also presented my research at prominent conferences, including the International Communication Association (ICA), the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC), and the National Communication Association (NCA).
While I am not occupied with research or teaching, I enjoy watching SCI-FI movies, scrolling through Harvard Business Review, and chatting with friends and family 😊😄
